John (lead vocals, bass) and I (Dom/Drums) formed The Lunar Keys from the fertile ashes of a previous band ;-). In February 2020 we completed the Lunar crew when we met guitarist The Steve (in a London bar, playing Rihanna’s Umbrella on a ukulele) and keyboardist Lexi. Our mission is to have our music spread energy, hope, and a sense of empowerment, a kind of ‘C’mon….let’s do it’ feeling.

Q: How would you describe your sound to someone who’s not heard your music before?

A: We’re a rock band that passionately crafts heartfelt songs with a classic timeless feel and a contemporary twist. I’m not sure I had a career in mind (or knew what that was 😉), but I was clear that I had to do this. Drumming and making music have been my lifeboat ever since.

Q: What inspires you the most to write your songs?

A: Life. We are 4 anxious types with lots of tunes and nervous energy trapped in our psyches and music is our therapy. Writing about something is cathartic. Music is the place we go to when the world gets too much and we come back stronger. Every time. We sing about the fact that things could be better on our planet, but we never do so without optimism and hope. I think of our music as uplifting and would love for it to play a part in people taking charge of their lives.

Q: Who would be your ultimate dream collaboration with, and why?

A: There are 4 artists in The Lunar Keys: JC, Lexi, Steve, and Dom. We all love collaborating with each other: Now, tomorrow, and hopefully for a long time to come.
